Sun, Sand, and Six-Hitters
Goa may be India's smallest state, but its cricket carries outsized ambition. Competing in Elite cricket against much larger associations, Goa relies on clever recruitment and fighting spirit.
The 2025-26 season started brilliantly โ Lalit Yadav's 213 against Chandigarh powered an innings victory in Round 1. Suyash Prabhudessai's 149 against Punjab secured a first-innings lead. But four consecutive losses to stronger sides ended Goa's campaign at 6th in Group B with 11 points. For India's smallest state, staying competitive in Elite cricket is an achievement in itself.
